Basically title. I noticed federal taxes have not been coming out of my paycheck this year. So I went through the W4 form and ensured that I am NOT exempt from federal taxes being deducted from each paycheck. I even adjusted the dollar amount to be deducted towards federal taxes to be higher than normal to offset the number at the end of the year. I have that form from several weeks ago.
Well, I just got paid today and to my surprise, still no federal taxes being withheld. I’ve tried contacting ADP and I’m currently waiting for a response. But aside from that, what could the issue be? I’ve never had an issue with this before and I do not want to owe the entirety of the federal taxes I’m supposed to owe at the end of the year.
Any tips? Am I missing something? TIA.

What’s the actual W-4 settings and paycheck data (pay, payroll cycle, deductions amount and type)?
It is possible to have $0 withholding without being exempt. For example, if you selected MFJ, didn’t check the box, and had 1 dependent, then nothing would be withheld until taxable earnings exceeded $1,042 per week.
Now, if you added additional withholding in Step 4c, that should be coming out every paycheck regardless (it is added to the calculated withholding as the last step, even if calculated withholding is $0).
