Spouse is planning to take a 4 month leave of absence following childbirth beginning in June. Currently, we used the IRS w/h estimator to account for my job, her job, etc etc. Then we provided the W-4's to our employers to correctly withhold for a $0 refund. Theoretically, since she is NOT collecting a paycheck for 16 weeks, can I adjust in the interim as if I'm the sole provider? This would greatly increase my take home obviously. I usually strive for a $0 refund/due each year so let me know your thoughts!
Can I adjust my WH while spouse is out of work?

Yes you can.
Sure, she isn’t working and you are having a new deduction.
