Accrue more category cards? (Granted they might just convert it into a Cash+)
Rely on your catchall more? (Rh Gold, 2%, Smartly)
Personally I have covered most of what's possible with the 5% cards, but I was relying on the Kroger cards for:
- medical copays
- barber shop
- discount tire in-store when I cant order ahead of time (I just learned this week the Uber eats delivery driver debit card gives 5%)
- local car mechanic (charges a 3% fee so I was coming out ahead)
- dollar general
- insurance app apple pay
So the answer is just going to be Robinhood Gold for me I guess. No Smartly good letter. Losing the free Kroger delivery membership would also shift me towards ordering delivery solely with Walmart+
This does add a little bit more appeal to the Wells Fargo Attune, since a lot of those lifestyle purchases can occur in person and aren't covered by other category cards
Team Cashback with Kroger card users, what's your plan if it goes away?

Same as my plan for if any one of my cards goes away: I will use whatever card I have that continues to give the highest cashback rate for its category, or my catch-all card if I can’t capture it with a category.
I generally don’t find it to be worthwhile trying to predict the unknowable. As far as I know, there is no current evidence of this card going away in the near future. At some point, things will change, and I will adapt with them when that happens.
Is the Kroger card in danger?
I’ll be on BofA for a year, past that I may just ragequit and stay 2% catch all
