With the tax credit of only $600 per year (up to 30% of total cost), but no lifetime limit, does it make sense to spread window replacement project out over several years?

My house is 30 years old with single pane aluminum windows with broken seals, and even in the southeast, leak so much energy. I've gotten quotes for new windows, but I'm thinking I should break up the project over a few years for increased tax credits, since there is no lifetime limit.

    What is the consensus here?

The cost of windows and your energy bills won’t be getting cheaper over the years. Might be wise to just get them all done at once and start saving money on your heating and cooling right away
