My spouse became my Tricare dependent in halfway through the year of 2025. She was on a marketplace coverage and received a 8962 at the end of the year listing off dollar amounts. Based on some readings, I saw that members cannot claim both marketplace coverage and Tricare, because her enrollment was pretty instantaneous it’s not something we considered health coverage wise the remaining 6 months of the year and we reported 0 amounts for those 6 months she was covered under Tricare for the year (she still is by CY wise). I received an IRS letter stating that the information does not match what they have on file, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do other than contact my tax prep service. Any experience is welcome.
