Home has 2 heat pumps, can I replace them in different years to maximize tax credits?

So we are getting close to having to replace our two heat pumps on our home that are around 20 years old. The lower level unit has stopped working in fact so plan to replace it this year but if I wait until jan of 2027 to replace the other unit could i do same tax credit deduction again? thanks so much
