IRS now showing Form 8802 processing status online

FYI for anyone waiting on Form 8802 / Form 6166 processing:

The IRS processing status page now includes Form 8802 under the “Other Forms” section:
https://www.irs.gov/help/processing-status-for-tax-forms#8802

As of today, the IRS is showing that they are processing Form 8802 applications from January 2026.

You have to expand the dropdown next to “Other Forms” to see it.
