Other coins are already POS and way ahead of Eth, they also update regularly and seamlessly. From a development point of view Eth is brittle and rigid and smells like it is built on a ton of legacy code.
I think they will release it and it will have major problems because they cannot keep putting it back without losing business.

No. But it is a hell of a lot better than just betting on the price of Bitcoin on a wild-west futures exchange that Chris Giancarlo, former CFTC chair, said was being used to pop the Bitcoin bubble! As far as I am concerned ALL Bitcoin derivatives should be banned! ALL OF THEM! Look how they control the price of gold and silver by using paper, derivative contracts that have no backing in COMEX warehouses!
