I ask strangers “What is bitcoin?”, how to buy bitcoin and their general thoughts on cryptocurrency and bitcoin.
Cryptocurrency is an online digital / virtual money / currency that is secured by strong cryptography. It has no central authority and is super secure (impossible to counterfeit), which makes it difficult for banks and governments to interfere. That is part of the reason for its popularity, but another big reason is the investment potential. There are many success stories in the crypto world, particularly with Bit coin, which has attracted more and more people over the years. Blockchain is also a good key-word that I couldn’t manage to naturally fit in so I’m just gonna pop it here, along with mining, cash, bitcoin atm, stock, moon, price, usd and aud.
