Mining cryptocurrency is a great way to earn passive income, but what are the best coins to mine in 2023. Mining crypto coins is easy, but it does cost electricity so you don’t want to be racking up a big electric bill and not earning some big passive income… Bitcoin is the most profitable coin to mine, if you have the electricity set up and can afford the more expensive BTC miners. There are a lot more approachable cryptocurrencies to mine than Bitcoin though, and even with the end of Ethereum mining there are still many different cryptocurrencies worth mining in 2023. Dogecoin mining in 2023 is profitable and it’s merge mined with Litecoin meaning you mine DOGE and LTC at the same time! Graphics cards aren’t as profitable for mining as they used to be, but Kaspa is still a profitable coin to be GPU mining at least until these FPGAs and ASIC miners take KAS over! Zcash is not an interest cryptocurrency and has proven to be a poor investment long-term but ZEC is still a profitable coin to mine and something I personally mine and trade into better coins like Bitcoin BTC. There are some up and coming cryptocurrencies committed to proof of work PoW like Kadena KDA and Nervos Network CKB that have profitable ASIC miners readily available for mining their coins! Also don’t forget about CPU mining you can earn money with your CPU thanks to Monero XMR CPU mining, we just wish we earned more money doing it!

Chia is the way to go here. Biggest potential upside with very low barrier to entry. Can mine on rpi4, with spare hard drives you have laying around the house. Low power consumption is also a huge plus with energy prices continuing to rise.

I'm still GPU mining since I already have hardware set up and I have access to some free electricity. In fact, I'm interested in ditching some of my older cards and upgrading them, but while graphics card prices have come down a bit, and there's plenty of stock to go around, there are still no real bargain deals to be had even in the used graphics card market. For instance, used OEM 3060 Ti's are going for around $300 on ebay, which is just… well, I know inflation is hitting us hard, but man that's just too much. At $150 apiece I'd snap up half a dozen of them, but for now I think I'm going to continue to wait for prices to fall given that profits are so low (and new cards are right around the corner). Buying bitcoin instead of hardware has probably never made more sense than it does right now.

By the way, your dog is awesome. The dog I fell in love with the most (because I love most dogs, other than tiny dogs that are ill-tempered) was an Australian Shepherd. I was like 8 when we got her as a puppy and we just got attached immediately. She somehow lived to be like 18 years old, we had to put her down because she was falling down steps and whatnot. One of the most painful things I've ever went through, but it makes me cherish every second I spend with my animals that much more. They're so precious!
I don't even want to tell you about Ghost, the white German Shepherd that we stole from someone's back porch. He's got second place in my heart, but his story is far more brief.
