I think HSBC already has started using XRP. I transfered 800 USD to my daughter in Switzerland two days ago. I did this in the afternoon and got a confirmation in 10 minutes, that's in the middle of the night in Hong Kong. Less than 30 minutes later my daughter had the CHF in her Swiss bank account.
