Was the director a Leftest? Or is that even a necessary question?
As a CPA, I can't imagine how Netflix could have such shoddy controls that would allow this to happen, particularly by a independent contractor who should have had no trust within the organization. Come on, millions of dollars? Just handed over to spend as he wants?
No serious company could let this happen. I suggest that every other person that Netflix has given large sums of money to have immediate audits.
He better be punished for this truly gross abuse of his position. I am no fan of Netflix but they are entitled to all the money he got from gambling Netflix's money.
SO if he stole money from NETFLIX I wonder if he was smart enough to pay the IRS taxes on that income. I see an IRS audit and possibly criminal charges on tax evasion.
Good for him. Who cares. Netflix will just raise their subscription price. Sorry, but I'm not about to feel sorry for Netflix, Disney, Target…etc. that's what you're here for
This is just typical behavior of political idealogs. They preach one thing and do another. This is exactly what happens almost every time. I would not be suprised at all if this sort of thing is not rampant in the industry. It makes one wonder how much of this is happening at Disney where huge sums of money vanishes into a DEI black hole. Of course Disney would never make it public if that were happening.
In line with past actions, Netflix should pay him the 14 mil. It's the right thing to do. Well maybe not the right thing. But it's a thing they could do.
Isn't that embezzlement when you take the company's money without them knowing I think they call that embezzlement you can go to prison for why aren't they getting ready to throw his ass in prison
I really don’t understand these Netflix “development deals”. Isn’t the whole point of a “deal” that, when you give something to me, I have to give you something in return?
“He allegedly went full days without sleeping and accused his wife of trying to end him according to the divorce filing.” Sounds like he might have spent a few million on some of the local goods when he was in South America.
So this guy squanders millions and it’s a write off. Trump paid back a loan and it was fraud because the bank thought his house was worth too much. Clown world.

Heh heh…How the Rinch Stole Netflix.
47 Ronin was actually a very good movie, not an original plot but it did have some unpredictable twists

LOL, I liked the Keannu Reaves movie, though!
OH my. Now he's demanding ADDITIONAL funds? What balls.
He belongs in a Federal penitentiary. But he wants to be paid.

Tbf, Ridley Scott hasn't been good in over 20 years.
Isnt Doge meant to depreciate in value?
You repeat yourself alot. Its very obvious you are reaching for that 10 minute mark. I like you but i don't need this much recap.
If he bought bitcoin at the start of the year he would have more then doubled his money.

If all the directors were doing this it would make alot of sense.
Very fraud. Such embezzle. Many ritard. Wow!
It's so on-brand for Netflix to give tens of millions of dollars to a guy who helmed one of the biggest box office flops in history 🤣
If you wonder why they don't track the money, just read some Rand… they are looting. All of them are looting the dead corpse of the USA.
Doesn't take much creativity to guess why Disney movies these days are sh't while costing $300M. The secret ingredient is embezzlement.

How many streaming services do you subscribe to?
Netflix has a good docudrama on their hands with this-
Some people just become managers so that they can loot a company. You never want to leave any employee completely unmonitored.
Doesnt Netflix therefor own the IP?
Last samurai was the Tom cruise one and it rocked
Why would you buy a Chevrolet, aren’t they all the same? I know, I know why would anyone buy a Chevy.
C Rinsch. What a name!
M is for Meth Head…

As they say a fool and their money will be quickly parted and it kind of sounds like Netflix was the fool
Bet this story will manifest into a movie Ocea11 style
If netflix gave $55 mil to you, would you invest it in a movie or Dogecoin? lol I know what your answer would be.
Stupid service, stupid director. Color me impressed.

Be careful Jeremy. It was cringe when Nick Fuentes told Metokur that "criminals are based!", and it's still cringe now…..
This is why my dogecoin jumped to 9 cents

They'll make their money back creating a documentary about this.
“He allegedly went full days without sleeping and accused his wife of trying to end him according to the divorce filing.”

Dude sounds like a legend. Netflix should make a movie about it lol.
