And it’s probably a pretty good idea generally Awards shows uh are pretty popular and everyone’s looking for their favorite I find that you know looking back in crypto I mean we certainly use the past maybe as a pattern or something that may tell us what is going to happen

In the future and maybe we can look at awards these Awards things for some something like that anyway let’s go ahead let’s take a look at the coin market cap crypto Awards 2024 so we start by looking here at this this is the main coin market cap website

I refer to this very often during my live streams and videos you get like trending like here’s jasm which is trending still we talk about that a lot as well as other coins and you get this listing here’s Bitcoin a market cap of just over a trillion dollar we get into

The details what makes up a market cap and then you can click into any of these uh coins let look let’s look at Dogecoin and you get a more clearer picture of the uh of the coin itself in terms of circulating Supply trading volume uh all

Of these things so uh and of course where where different coins are traded on on what exchanges Etc so so this is a great resource to use uh and then if you follow them on X Twitter you also get this weekly Market overview which I look

At a lot to see see what the top gainers are here’s jasm again had a great week uh last week um a lot of other interesting coins here as well uh so we talk about these a lot and then of course the trending ones here again so

So this is all this is all really uh interesting interesting news and information that that the CMC website gives so so kudos to them and now they’re doing this thing called the CMC crypto Awards 2024 so this is really looking back into 2023 which you know award shows are like

Like I said you know they are what they are but they’re doing this for interest and for engagement as well so kind of interesting and they they put a lot of effort into not only all this cool graphics but they’ve made all these videos too which are good and

Here are their award categories crypto of the Year mem coin of the year most Innovative nft and gaming project bridge builder of the Year social influencer to watch most Innovative defi project crypto leader of the year and the most Innovative L1 L2 cross chain project hm that’s kind of interesting in but they

Do have a number of sponsors here so they’ve got some uh you know some good companies behind this so it’s a way for them to make a little money as well but we’ll take a look at a couple of these here’s crypto of the year uh these are

The nominees for crypto of the year you can go to this website and you can click on the video and watch their videos as well because they do a good job but overall now now uh Ripple so xrp in my opinion was really more about the lawsuit and the winning a lawsuit

Over the SEC because the price of xrp really hasn’t done much in 20123 so but they but they have a chance just based on that lawsuit which is why that’s interesting salana had a great year trading chain link as well the Oracle uh uh Network here for chain link has

Driven its price up ethereum more toward the end of the year but I think ethereum is really going to be more for 2024 not 2023 because now is when ethereum is making its move ton coin came from out of nowhere absolutely out of nowhere with with a

Telegram uh but it seems to be fading as well uh and I think over all these this is sana’s year I think salana is probably the crypto of the year for 20123 but of course you don’t see Dogecoin in here but um now to votee this is one of their things for

Engagement right you you’ve got to you’ve got to post within the CMC community so you have to in order to do that you have to like register with them then you’ve got to do a a Twitter X tweet and then you’ve got some other sharing task that you’ve got to do and

It’s just like I I don’t got time for that I’m not going to do all of that right but I guess that’s how you vote and then then once you vote and of course the more you vote on in these different categories the more you have a chance to win uh this

Tether prize pool so this is the way they’re sort of building this up so it’s a popularity vote but it’s popularity vot vote if you go and you do all of these postings and sharing and all that stuff so so that’s what it is you know

Meme coins so is Dogecoin here for 2023 uh here’s Pepe Pepe started in May 2023 had a big run there and well yeah we’ll see uh ladies my lady another one of those that just came out of the blue and was created a meme coin

Here’s meme Bonk and ory I think Bon is going to win I think Bon is probably the meme token of 2023 even though it was created back at the end of 2022 it was pretty much dead until the fall and then just went crazy absolutely crazy of course it’s built on salana and

Because the salana folks are all voting for salana for crypto of the year I think Bon will be the meme coin of the year but yeah this is this is not dogecoins year uh we look for Dogecoin in 2024 because I think great things are going to happen for Dogecoin moving

Is on the list for social influencer a look on chain Zack xbt here’s George cryptos are us here’s Wendy O here’s the defi Edge on this I don’t know how this is going to go voting wise it’s such an odd thing that you would have look on

Chain and then you would have you Zach xbt George Wendy the this is just an odd again they kind of throw this I don’t know Chris Pax isn’t on there that’s all I know so uh most Innovative defi project uh Unis swap Unis swap is going

To get a lot of votes particularly now in 2024 because it’s going crazy in price while this is going on and a lot of people behind Unis swap now if this vote had happened a month ago Unis probably wouldn’t get the votes that that is going to get unibot uh enen

Layer maker da friend. friend. kind of came and went it’s like is anybody really using this it’s kind of a neat idea but again probably too early in its time to be sort of this web three kind of social platform thing so I think Unis swap is probably the winner there uh

Crypto leader of the year what do we have here CZ CZ is gonna win even though he’s he’s had to step down from bance and the United States is like is probably goingon to throw him in jail for a long time but cz’s going to

Win this Ryan selus falik is in here I think vitalik’s year is probably going to be next year Brian Armstrong has done a lot with coinbase uh again I don’t are people are going to vote for Brian Armstrong or Julia l i h Kong Securities and Futures

Commission it’s like this is CZ it’s all CZ he’s going to get all the votes here I think uh and uh finally the most Innovative L1 L2 cross chain kind of an odd category here’s arbitrum I’ve talked about that before I was in arbitrum for a while but I have sold my arbitrum

Because there’s this huge like 88% of all of tokens are going to be unlocked next month so I’d be careful about that Axel the ZK sing era Celestia and Aptos Aptos hasn’t done great last year so Celestia may be uh a winner here just because of the price action of Celestia

Just did so well last year but some may vote for ARB as well uh we’ll just see how that goes so so that’s the so those are the categories it kind of they probably could have had some other categories or or different things but I don’t know that’s that’s what we’ve got
