OIL, Gold prices slide driven by fears of recession

국제유가·금값도 급락…WTI 5.7% 하락

Oil prices plunged about 6 percent to an eight-month low on Friday
This comes as the U.S. dollar hit its strongest level in over two decades.
It’s also fueled by fears of rising interest rates tipping major economies into recession.
A trend that could cut demand for oil.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell about 4-point-9-7 dollars to trade at slightly over 78 dollars per barrel.
Part of a broad selloff in markets including commodities, equities, and foreign currencies.
Gold prices continued to trade lower as the Fed’s ultra-hawkish monetary policy of more aggressive rate hikes going forward weighed on the bullion’s appeal.
Down 1-point-4 percent to some 16-hundred-47 dollars per ounce, it’s a new two-year low.
