How I Got a Full Ounce of Gold, one 1/10 Gold Eagle at a Time

I now have a full ounce of gold made from Ten 1/10 ounce Fractional Gold Eagles in 2022. Are you a gold stacker? Do you stack fractional Gold Coins or full ounce gold coins? Do you stack US Mint American Gold Eagles? Other gold bullion?

Last year, I looked at my stack of 1/10 ounce American Gold Eagle coins, and found that I was one short of having ten coins. Which would make it a full ounce of gold. So that motivated me to get one more. I then decided that for all of 2022, I would get one 1/10 gold eagle each month. So now with October being the tenth month, I now have another full ounce of gold but in 2022 also! Do you set gold goals? I was able to meet this significant milestone, so now I will set a higher goal.

Are you a gold stacker? Do you stack fractional Gold Coins or full ounce gold coins? Do you stack US Mint American Gold Eagles? Other gold bullion?

As a gold stacker (or silver stacker), with today’s prices, are you adding more physical ounces of precious metals now, or are you holding, or are you selling?

Being a stacker is about being independent and about personal responsibility, so it might make sense to not even buy precious metals at this time. Having an emergency cash savings fund is important as well as paying off debt. Only you know your own financial situation.

  2. I have been buying 1/4 oz gold coins. I find it more affordable than a full ounce. The premiums have been around $60. October 2022 was a good month for me. Spot was well under $1700. I might start buying 1/10 oz . Thanks for sharing your method of buying.

  3. The only limit on my goal is to find the lowest premium gold. I got 2.5 gram last month for 6% over spot. I just met this month gold goal, 1/4 1986 AGE for only 6% over premium from my lcs. I usually end up with anything but an AGE. Thanks for you videos. I have quit $6 coffee and frequent trips to fast food to pay for all of this.

  4. Fractional gold buying works (for me).

A great oportunity to get monthly results which are not so much more expensive than a full ounce.

However, in Germany/Europe stacking precious metals is very unpopular. Most people prefer to wait for CBDC.

  5. 10th oz and quarter oz are the best sizes in my book. They don't hurt the wallet much when buying and they are easy to resell privatelly which allows you to get pretty much all of the premium back when selling. 1 oz coins might be the best value, but finding a buyer with 2-3K available that will trust you in a private sale will be much more difficult. And if you decide to sell to coin shop or bullion dealer, they will offer you spot or less which will be devastating for the value of your stack. Just like you, I purchase fractional gold mostly. I have some 1 oz bars and coins but most of my gold is smaller, going from 1 gram to half oz in sizes.

  6. Thanks for sharing, your perseverance is contagious. I am also sorting out my fractional strategy, so far I am into 5g bars, 20 francs and Sovereigns, but I notice that market supply is irregular and would produce a non regular stack in the future so I am thinking of going into fractional tenth coins.

  7. Dang! I’m listening to this in the car at 5:30 am after blowing $3.50 on my Dunkin’ morning coffee! I should have put the money toward my next πŸ¦…! πŸ˜–

  8. Another Great Video
Mr. Heist. I buy a mix of 1/10 every month. Love 24K. Wish they were Buffalo. 7 more to finish my tube of 20. Then I’m moving to 1/4oz Goldy’s!
    Thanx again!

  9. Great investment strategy, thanks for sharing ! Also a good idea to put the 1/10 oz out of the flips. Even today the cheap ones contain PVC which may cause damages on the long run. Greets from GER, U.

  10. I’m a fractional Gold buyer. When I first started stacking I was just stacking Silver. I told myself that buying Gold was too expensive. Then I saw some YouTube videos about fractional stacking. Which I believe one of them was yours. My approach is similar but a bit different. I was making small Gold purchases every Month or up to 3 months depending on money situation. I would also do 5 gram bars or 1/10 oz Gold coins and bar between Gold Maples,Austrian Philharmonic,Britannia or Gold Eagles. Depending on what I was comfortable paying. Lately I’ve been avoiding Gold Eagles because the spread in premium is too high for my liking. Right now I’m working on my second ounce of Gold and over half way there. Thanks for the inspiration and showing a good way to stack Gold on a budget.

  11. "The Heist Door" lol I think I will take another door. You are correct about premium and spot price, you just need to make your purchase smartly when it fits your budget. I buy silver, fractional gold, or 1oz gold….it all depends
