U.S. oil prices see slump amid continuing economic uncertainty

국제유가, 경기 불확실성에 작년말 이후 최저치 WTI 3.5%↓

Oil prices in the U.S. plunged to their lowest settlement levels in around a year on Tuesday, as investors fled amid economic uncertainties.
According to data from the Dow Jones, U.S. benchmark WTI crude futures fell 3-point-5 percent settling at just over 74 U.S. dollars a barrel, the lowest since last December.
Brent crude futures slumped 4 percent to settle at 79-dollars-three-five cents a barrel for a low not seen since the turn of 2022.
Watchers say investors appear to be nervous as oil demand may shrink, with more Fed rate hikes and a possible recession.
