Exponential Rise in Price No other Outcome
In this video, Raoul Pal explains why buying Ethereum, Bitcoin, and a few other coins is one of the best investment decisions ever. He also sees the exponential growth in the crypto space as the fastest growth of any asset.
Everything is interesting about Ethereum. Ether is money and technology. It is a platform on which people are building different applications. Whether it’s community tokens, DeFi, or NFTs, they’re all going to be on Ether. But people also use Solana for stuff. Hence, there’ll be a multichain world of few giants. And that’s pretty normal. Ethereum adoption is growing at least twice of Bitcoin.
Then, we look at the on-chain analytics which everyone is now staking. So, everybody is staking it. Also, tons are locked up in DeFi and NFTs. Now, 1% of the entire Ethereum supply is available, and it’s going down every day while the demand is going exponentially. Hence, the only outcome is an exponential price rise.
Regarding network effects, many macro guys will think if Ethereum is adopted at speed, it isn’t going to work. That’s irrelevant. If you look at the rate of adoption, it’s going on in the entire crypto space. This is what you need to know:
The crypto space is growing at 113% a year in terms of several users. And we’ll assume that over time, the trend will fall a bit. So, if it goes down to 83% this year, it’s a significant fall. And we saw the internet do a similar thing but it was at its peak growth. So, by the end of 2024, the number of crypto users is expected to reach a billion. Now, a blind chimp can choose a cryptocurrency and get rich.
As of today, the entire crypto space has hit $2 trillion. Global equities are about $200 trillion while global bonds are also about $200 trillion. This is about 100 times. The point is that you’ll have had an asset that’s already up to 2 million percent. So, now if you choose any asset, you’re not making the wrong bet because it will surely arise in the future. You can take Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a couple of other baskets of cryptos like Solana which is getting faster adoption.
