The Covid issues won't always be around but JIT and poor driver pay and benifits are two issues that need to be addressed to stabilize the supply chain in the future.

Brilliant video – neatly lays out the issues my company has been having since Covid started due to our previously funtional JIT restocking strategy being destroyed by Chinese manufacturing delays, skyrocketing freight prices and massive offloading delays rendering ocean shipping virtually unusable. Things had begun to return to normal but now they're a mess once more thanks to the brutal Chinese lockdowns and the effects of the Ukraine conflict on freight pricing. It's no fun having a company with an international supply chain at the moment and it's not easing any time soon.

I live in a mining town in Au , a friend of mine owned a trucking company and just sold everything as he cant get drivers.. he said he cant compete with mining company's for pay , mining here is absolutely booming ( gold nickel and lithium )paying workers high wages and smaller company's just cant compete with the money they pay…
