In this video, I demonstrate how to move your Bitcoin from a Ledger hardware wallet to a Blockstream Jade hardware wallet.

Here’s the overview:

1) Install Sparrow Wallet on your laptop or desktop
2) Get your new Blockstream Jade hardware wallet ready with a brand new 12 word recovery seed
3) Connect Jade to Sparrow
4) Generate a fresh receive address using your Jade
5) Send some BTC from Ledger to that receive address on your Jade

Remember to never share your 12 word recovery seed with anyone, never upload it online, never enter it into a web form, never take a picture of it, never allow your smartphone or computer camera to view it, etc.

Anyone who has your 12 word recovery seed can instantly steal your Bitcoin.

To protect from floods or fire, consider stamping your recovery seed into metal. Just google “metal plates bitcoin recovery seed” to get a list of vendors.

  1. WARNING: There are a number of scammers who are using my image and
channel name to try to connect with my viewers on WhatsApp and other
platforms to scam them. Just so you know, I will never refer you to
"my personal trader" or try to connect with you personally to sell you

always recognize a scammer by clicking on the image and seeing how
many videos he has. All of these guys have zero videos, while I have

  2. I feel that the last bull run was bolstered by all the money being printed. Major returns next bull run but I think they will be tamer in my humble opinion. A 10x on AMAV99X is and a 15x on polygon are fair considering how much those two coins are interwo

  3. Cant deny the fact that Amazons AMAV99X is the strongest bet to bring power back to this industry after we suffered FTX, Celsius, Tera and so on. Sure if they fail its done for good, but I dont see that the biggest tech company in the world would put e

  4. Actually, as a reseller I can tell you there are some cases where it is preferable to buy a hardware wallet from us. E.g. boutique resellers are smaller targets for data thieves, as their monthly sales volume is much smaller than manufacturers who only produce that product. We often sell lots of other products, which makes it more difficult to extract customer data for HW. Malware can easily be tested, whereas privacy is harder to achieve. Our store, for example, offers completely non-KYC purchases by leveraging local delivery options. You can also pick it up yourself and pay on-site so none of your activity has to be online.

It is mostly artificial FUD from manufacturers who want higher margins by selling directly. As the industry expands, the need for resellers will rise.

  5. There was a fake scam Michael Saylor coin give away ad before your video. It’s attempting to have people send BTC and ETh to an address so they can send double the amount back.

  6. This is all so fucking confusing. I was super proud of myself for getting a ledger, setting it up all legit by my non-techie-self and now I gotta figure out more shit? Fuck that

  7. Hey Matt, it's been a while, I had to basically sell all my bitcoin and live paycheck to paycheck because of a death in the family and pay for all sort of health care and funeral arrangements. But I'm ready to start buying Bitcoin again. I was using stirke. I see Sparrow is the new one. I looked it up and couldn't find a app for my phone yet. What do you suggest?

  8. I traded well on my Demo account but when I invested in to my main account i lost all my funds. Please i need an expert to assist me with my trading. It's frustrating how people loss funds in this trading, I really feel so bad.

  9. Thank you Matthew for this video, I just got the Jade myself and successfully set it up and moved a small amount of BTC from my Coinomi software wallet! I'll be moving the rest of my BTC via the Jade! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  10. DON'T check if the "test deposit" is still there. Of course it will be there. Sparrow will always show it because it's a "watch-only" wallet. What you SHOULD do is restore the Jade with your seed phrase and the use it to send the test deposit back out of the wallet. If THAT succeeds, then you know you did the backup successfully.

  11. nice video, you should. be able to import your recovery phrase(from ledger) into your jade and then use the jade to send it to another safe address( with a different seed phrase generated by something else) . All this without ever touching the ledger or ledger software.

  12. If i were you I would end every video with "the best thing you can do is to buy bitcoin; hold your keys; and run your own node. Here are links on videos showing how to do all 3".

  13. Hi sir, hope you are well ! I need just your opinion ! I’m new in Bitcoin and I’d like to start self custody but I really don’t have any idea which hard ward wallet to chose !? I’d be happy if you can just share with me your opinion! Thanks so much

  14. I met a girl named Halli today at a coffee shop in Hendersonville, TN. We started talking about Bitcoin and I referred her to your channel. Hopefully, she follows my advice and subscribes because there’s a lot to learn and you’re a great resource!
